Title: BDZ-v: Baden Technologies, bottom fishing opportunity?
Post by: Tara on May 31, 2009, 03:35:29 PM
Baden Technologies (BDZ.v)

Fantastic performance on the domestic side allowed Baden to show 262k profits(+.012$/share EPS).  It explains why we have been seeing resurgence on the bid side lately. With increasing oil prices and pending brine plant contract closure, the summer could bode well for this beaten down stock.

Here are 3 extracts of interest from the recently filed documents at SEDAR:

Extract #1:
"The Company is currently completing technical specifications and contract tenders on three additional brine plants for long-time Russian clients. In addition, pursuant to the normal life cycle of the existing Brine Plants the Company anticipates continued demand for refurbishment parts and services resulting from continuous operation of the brine plants manufactured by the Company, of which there are currently 21 in operation in West Siberia. "

Extract #2:
"The Company anticipates with existing working capital and loan facilities, minimal long term debt and obligations and brine plant contracts negotiation to date, that it will be able to meet both its short-term and foreseeable long-term operating activities, including its future lease commitments. Any growth strategies will be funded on an as-needed, project-financing basis. All domestic sales are conducted on a maximum net-30 payment cycle."

Extract #3:
Despite the recent slowdown in the global oil and gas industries, demand for domestic filtration services and consumables is increasing during the first half of 2009. The company is currently involved in an ongoing service project in Fort McMurray, Alberta, as well as in final contract negotiations for three Brine Plants to be fabricated and shipped in 2009. Baden continues to be the leading supplier of both the turnkey Brine Plant and domestic ultra-filtration services. Both areas are expected to continue to grow quarterly over previous years.

P.S. The above is simply my personal understanding and not to be construed as investment advice. I’m not a broker, promoter, director, manager or employee of the aforementioned company, just a shareholder. Do your own due diligence. Typos could of occurred.
